The House of Finland, located in the International Cottages areo of Balboa Park, San Diego, CA, is open for the public every Sunday afternoon between Noon and 5 p.m. The members take turns to host the cottage. Membership meetings are held at 4 p.m. at the cottage on Jan 31, Mar 7, Apr 11, May 2, Jun 6, Sep 12, Oct 3, Nov 7. No meeting in July and August. The December meeting is incorporated with the HOF Christmas party with installation of 2011 officers.
Saturday March 14, 2010, Dinner at the House of Finland starting about 3 p.m. followed by the movie Pelikaanimies (Pelican Man) at 4 p.m. See page 2 of the January FINNews for details.
The Finnish church services are held at our familiar location, The Lutheran Church of the Incarnation, 16889 Espola Road, in Poway. The services are conducted by Pastors Seppo Vesala and Irene Erkko. Refreshments and fellowship are enjoyed after the services.

The International Food Fair is one of the two annual fundraisers for the international cottages. The House of Finland has a tremendous reputation for quality and taste in our products, and we won't disappoint anyone this year either. Come and be part of our enthusiastic group and show your Finnish sisu and our famous smile.
